Treatment Options for Kids & Teens

Providing proper behavioral health care for children and teens can be a complicated process. They’re still developing mentally and physically, and those changes can complicate or mask emotional, behavioral, and mental health problems that they’re struggling with. Michiana Behavioral Health has designed its inpatient and residential programs for children and teens to tackle these complex issues.

Michiana Behavioral Health provides acute treatment for ages 6-17 and residential treatment for ages 10-17, who are struggling with mood disorders and behavioral issues such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and more. We take pride in teaching them how to build confidence, learn coping mechanism, and develop problem-solving skills that can foster a higher quality of life, better communication, and improved social interactions at home and school.

Our acute inpatient programs help to stabilize more immediate behavioral and mental health issues, while our psychiatric residential treatment program provides support for kids and teens who have longer and more complex histories with trauma and other behavioral problems. Our therapeutic approach to treating kids and teens ensures we provide the best possible outcomes for our patients. We make sure that parents, guardians, and loved ones are involved in treatment to make sure that our young patients are set up for success even after they’ve left our care.
